What is Z2 gel for?
Gels contain carbohydrates, the main fuel for our body's energy production during exercise. Consumption of gels during physical activity reduces the use of muscle and liver glycogen stores, thus delaying the feeling of fatigue and increasing exhaustion time.
When to take Z2 gel?
Pre (15 to 20 minutes before) and during exercise (every 20-40 minutes), depending on duration (over 1 hour) or intensity.
How long does it take to take effect?
In general, the time for the effects to start is 5 to 15 minutes after ingesting the gel. This depends on the absorption time by the gastrointestinal system, something that varies according to each individual's metabolism, intestinal health and physical conditions, such as hydration and fatigue.
Which gel to take?
Our lines of gels were designed for individualized and customizable use. Professional evaluation and guidance is recommended to prescribe the use of our gels according to your needs and characteristics. In general, you can initially be guided by your taste preference. We recommend gels with a higher amount of sodium (Pitaya, Lemon, Pineapple, Freezin' Cola, Double Expresso) for training or tests carried out in high temperatures and, if you also sweat a lot. For more intense and longer workouts, gels with caffeine, taurine and BCAA are a great choice.
What are the benefits of taking the gel?
The use of carbohydrates and other components of our gels reduces the perception of effort and delays the time to exhaustion. Furthermore, it helps maintain sodium concentrations in the body, preventing dehydration.
